Our Story
In the coastal town of Carlsbad, the Chambers family embarked on a dream – building their ideal home with a touch of timeless elegance. They envisioned a warm, inviting space adorned with 40-year-old Columbian teak decking, a wood known for its unparalleled beauty.
However, as the construction progressed, their excitement turned to impatience as the eagerly anticipated teak shipment faced unforeseen delays. Faced with a tight schedule, the Hendersons reluctantly opted for a different wood to keep the project moving.
Just as they adjusted to the new reality, a surprise arrived at their doorstep – the long-awaited Columbian teak, finally reaching California shores. Despite initial disappointment, the family couldn't ignore the overwhelming admiration from neighbors and friends who saw the exquisite teak.
Realizing the potential, the Chambers saw an opportunity to turn their setback into a flourishing venture. Inspired by the community's love for the wood, they decided to establish a business, specializing in sourcing and supplying the rare, aged Columbian teak.
Word spread quickly, and soon the Chambers found themselves not only with a stunning home but also at the helm of a successful enterprise. Their journey, marked by patience and resilience, turned a construction hiccup into a thriving family legacy, rooted in the beauty of Columbian teak.
Lumber Specifications
Tectona Grandis (Teak)
This is 40-year-old Columbia plantation Teak. The dimensions are one-sixth and three-quarters nominal, and lengths up to 9 feet.
Ten thousand board feet are priced at $28.35/board foot. S4S (Black Friday sale from 11/14-1/4, $15/board foot)
The teak is stored in our private facility and can be delivered to any Southern California location within a week.
